To cut a bell pepper into slices, first chop off both ends of the pepper and discard them. Then, cut the pepper in half lengthwise to expose the inside. Cut out the white core inside of the pepper, and scrape out any seeds. Finally, lay each half cut-side down and slice the halves lengthwise into 1/2-inch strips. To cut smaller cubes, cut across the slices crosswise. If you want to cut a pepper into rings, first cut off the stem end of the pepper and use the tip of your knife to cut out the core inside. Then, cut the pepper crosswise into 1/2-inch rings. Make sure you wear gloves if you're cutting a spicy pepper since pepper juice can sting!
