INFO:
2024 has proved to be another transformative year for Billie Eilish. From collabs to confessions, making records to breaking records, the singer-songwriter has had one of the most eventful years of her career. At the very start of the year, she went viral for an iconic red carpet moment, when she was captured telling swimsuit model and interviewer Haley Kalil that she looked “hot as b*lls” backstage at the Golden Globes. Haley, a 31 year old model who shot to fame after entering a Sports Illustrated swimsuit competition, shared the cute video to her instagram, confirming in the caption “she’s a girl’s girl.” From the Golden Globes to the Oscars, Billie made history in March after she won the Academy Award for Best Original Song for ‘What Was I Made For’. The award, won alongside her brother and songwriting partner, Finneas, made her the youngest ever 2-time Oscar winner after winning the same award for her song ‘No Time to Die’ in 2022. April saw Billie take to the Coachella stage, where she debuted her then-unreleased song ‘Lunch’ during her surprise DoLaB party. The song sent fans into a frenzy, with one fan declaring “Billie you freak, gay anthem of the year I fear” Later in the month, Billie stunned her fans again during her raw and open conversation with Rolling Stone. Her comments came as Billie had been more open than ever when it came to her sexuality and opened up about penning the song ‘Lunch’ on her latest album. As Billie closes out an unforgettable 2024, we can’t wait to see what she’s got in store for 2025.
